Thank you for applying to the EP Rent Help Program. The information you provide in your application will remain confidential. 


We regret to inform you that currently there are limited funds available. Please continue filling out the application so that it may be considered if additional funds become available. We will update you on the status of your application as it awaits processing.

Please submit only one application per household. Submitting more than one application per household will lead to delays processing your request for rental assistance.

Please provide the contact information for your landlord or property manager. We will be contacting them in regards to your rental assistance application. 
If you have both your landlord and property manager's information, please provide the information for the person you have most responsive communication with now.




We strongly encourage you to provide your landlord or property manager's email address. We will not sell or share their email to any other person or organization

The individual listed here as the Tenant Applicant must be responsible for making payments to the Landlord. Only one Tenant Applicant per rental property/unit will be considered.








We strongly encourage you to provide your email address or that of a trusted friend or family member. Email is the fastest way to receive updates on your application status and is the primary way we will let you know if we need additional information to complete your application. We will not sell or share your email to any other person or organization.

The program has dedicated teams to assist households with different needs. Please answer the following questions to help us determine which team will best be suited to help. These questions will not affect your eligibility for rental assistance.

Please add details of your past-due rent below. Enter the total amount you owe for each month, including past due utilities and home energy costs (electricity, gas, water, sewer, trash removal and other energy costs, such as fuel or propane) if you pay these costs directly to your Landlord as part of your monthly rent amount. At least some of your rent amount must be past due in order to submit this application. Do not apply for a month you have previously received rental assistance for in a prior round of EP Rent Help funding or from another program/funding source.

Future Rent Information
The El Paso Emergency Rental Assistance Program is able to cover up to three months of future rent. NOTE: This assistance is only available if you expect to remain in your current residence for one-two months.

Are you able to provide proof through one of the following documents that your household experienced a negative economic impact due to COVID-19?

  • Unemployment statement dated on or after March 1, 2020.
  • Letter from employer indicating termination of employment, furlough, or a reduction in work hours dated on or after March 1, 2020. 
  • Loss of business income, if self-employed or own your own business
  • Two different pay stubs showing a reduction in income over time
  • Notice of business closure (letter of closure from employer, closure announcement in a newspaper or online publication, etc.)
  • Documentation of significant costs incurred, such as child or dependent care or medical expenses
  • Other proof of financial hardship
